I love looking through newspapers.com and finding new treasures. Occasionally I get updates from them that new newspapers have been digitized from Birmingham, and I stop everything to look through them to see what gems I might find about Brother Bryan. This week, they released fifteen years of the Birmingham Post-Herald from 1901-1915.

I’ve found several articles about Brother Bryan receiving gifts of horse and buggy, but got just a few more details from this newspaper. What is interesting to me is the number of people who were in on the purchase to bless this dedicated pastor. Some twenty-five men who contributed to the fund, and who came to witness him learning about the gift.
