Determination and Grit

Determination and Grit
Notes: For downright determination and grit those composing the Third Presbyterian congregation have not yet been excelled In the .church history of the city. When their church was destroyed by fire a few weeks ago, they rented and went Into the edifice at the corner of Avenue F and Twenty-first street, formerly owned by the First Christian Congregation, and scarcely missed a service. But the owners of that building having already sold It to other parties. Pastor Bryan and hls flock were forced to move out There was nowhere else In the neighborhood to get a house, yet the emergency was met by the purchase of a tent, which is now pitched on the corner of Avenue G and Twenty-second street and under whose folds the devoted worshipers meet and carry on all their services preaching, prayer meeting, Christian Endeavor and Sunday School. This arrangement will no doubt hold good until their new church Is completed.
