| 2 Tim 3:1-27 Power In Living
By these scriptures we see that just being religious or acting like believers ISN’T what God desires or looks for in our life. “2 Tim 3:5) Vrs 3:1 Many will be this way. WHAT WHY? * Imitators of what is right. (Good?) Is this possible to be this way? A 2 Cor 11:13-15 Satan as an Angel of Light / Ministers of Satan. B Ex. 7:11-12 Egyptian magicians. C Matt 7:15 Sheep’s clothing but inwardly raving wolves D 2 Tim 3:1-5 Form of godliness E Matthew 7:21 Some will be this way and not know it. WHAT’S SO BAD ABOUT JUST BEING RELIGIOUS OR GOOD according to Timothy? 1 Vrs 1-3 We end up believing what is not right. (Follow what is wrong) 2 Vrs 2 We accept bad or wrong behavior. (hardens peoples heart (Ex 7:11) 3 Vrs 5 We have a belief or religion that you practice but in reality doesn’t have any power to make a difference in the world. 4 Vrs 6 We can’t control our lusts – desires – wants. 5 Vrs 7 Bible remains difficult to understand. We don’t know God. 6 Vrs 8 WE BECOME COUNTERFIET. Look real but have NO POWER. HOW DO YOU HAVE THIS POWER? According to these verses? I BE AND LIVE GODLY THROUGH OUR TRIALS. Vrs 12 A it’s going to happen vrs 12 B We are to be patient before we react. Vrs 11 C When things go against us we go away from. Vrs 1-5 Because we have power. II KNOW THE WORD OF GOD. Where our true power comes from. It is God. It is powerful (Hebrews 4:12) Let the Word be your government. III KNOW WHAT TRUE SALVATION IS. (Through faith in Christ) What God tells us to live in the last days What God brings to us in the last days What it is to live nearer to God and fleeing from evil. |
